What to Know

Newborn sessions are best done when your baby is 5-12 days old.

All you need to bring for baby is a bottle (if used, I am happy for you to breastfeed in my studio) and a DUMMY - even if bub doesn't use one I highly suggest bringing one as this really helps with settling baby.

Family and Siblings are welcome to be included in the portraits. I suggest neutral tones/colours for Family/Sibling portraits - no hats or clothing with visible logos please.

Before your session give your baby a big feed so that bub is full and ready for a sleep on arrival. If travelling from a distance you can hold this big feed off until you arrive in the studio. If bottle-fed bring an extra bottle or two incase bub gets hungry again (this is common).
Your baby may want to feed more often as they are being moved around a lot more than normal.

Newborn Photography is a work of art and takes time, the average session takes 2 hours, including feeds, poops and posing.
Don't be worries if your baby makes a mess, I'm used to it!

The studio is warmed up to keep baby comfortable and sleepy while undressed, so dress lightly/in layers, bring a bottle and water and a snack.

Siblings - We do Family and Sibling portraits first, I recommend someone pick up/dad take them after their photos. That way mum can relax and enjoy the moment too. My studio is small and the children may get bored quickly.
